For the Vegan Caesar:

Directions

For the Marinade:

Mix olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, grated garlic, dijon mustard, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and black pepper in a bowl.

Cut the tofu into slices and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

For the Batters:

In one bowl, mix all purpose flour, salt, and black pepper.

In another bowl, mix panko, freshly chopped parsley, and vegan parmesan.

In a third bowl, mix chickpea flour, flaxmeal, and water to create a batter.

Dip marinated tofu slices into the flour mixture, then the chickpea batter, and finally coat with the panko mixture.

Heat avocado oil in a pan and fry the coated tofu slices until crispy and golden brown.

Mix vegan mayo, lemon juice, vegan parmesan, grated garlic, vegan Worcestershire, dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.

To Assemble the Sandwich:

Spread vegan garlic butter on the French bread and toast it.

Layer the crispy tofu, chopped romaine lettuce, and vegan Caesar dressing on the toasted bread.
