Ingredients

1 cup vegan milk
a
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 cup flour (gf options: AP gf flour / buckwheat flour)

1 cup cornstarch

1 heaping tbsp baking powder

1 tbsp paprika

1 tsp each: onion powder, garlic powder & salt
a
10 - 15 about oyster mushrooms

oil for frying
Directions

Whisk vegan milk and apple cider vinegar in a bowl. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, combine all the dry ingredients. Add about 1/2 a cup of the dry ingredients to the milk mixture and mix. The batter should be smooth and runny but not watery.

Heat oil over medium high heat until about 150c / 300f.

Meanwhile dip mushrooms in the wet batter, then the flour mixture and make sure it’s evenly coated. Deep fry for about 3 minutes or until golden. Let cool.
