1 ounces tomato sauce

1 teaspoon adobo seasoning

¼ teaspoon black pepper

15 ½ ounces pink/red kidney beans

3 cups & 1/4 cup of water

6 olives / sliced or whole
Directions

Rinse the rice a few times until the water is no longer cloudy. Drain the water from the rice.

Heat oil in a caldero or dutch oven over medium, add ham and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.

Add in sofrito, tomato sauce, roasted peppers, olives, adobo, sazon, black pepper, mix well and cook for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Stir if needed.

Add in beans, washed rice and mix well, like shown in the video.

Add water and stir then let cook until water has mostly evaporated.

Mix rice then cover for 25 minutes on low (setting 3), turn heat off and uncover, stir & enjoy!
