For the Honey Garlic Skillet Sauce:

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

½ cup honey

1 ½ tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 –2 tsp fresh lemon juice

1/2–1 tsp hot sauce

Directions

Add chicken to a bowl, drizzle lightly with oil, then coat evenly with the Cajun seasoning. Let sit 5 minutes while the pan heats.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Lay the thighs smooth-side down and sear undisturbed 4–5 minutes until deeply golden. Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until mostly cooked through. Remove from the pan. If crowded, sear in batches.

Lower heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic. Cook until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up all the fond. Stir in honey and soy sauce. Let the sauce simmer by itself 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened and darker in color. Add Worcestershire during the last minute.

Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer uncovered until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken beautifully.

Turn off heat and swirl in 1 tablespoon cold butter for a silky finish. Add lemon juice and hot sauce. Let it bubble 20–30 seconds. Finish with fresh cracked black pepper.
