Ingredients

Sauce

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp hoisin sauce

1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tbsp ginger, grated

1 tsp garlic, grated

pinch of white pepper

Chicken

2 c rice, cooked

neutral oil

1 lb ground chicken or beef

o

½ onion, diced

1 bundle of broccolini

2 tbsp butter

salt and pepper

scallions, sliced

sesame seeds (optional)

red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

Sauce

Whisk ingredients together in a bowl, cover, and set aside.

Chicken

Cook rice according to directions. Set aside and keep warm.

Bring a pot of water to a boil.

Add a splash of neutral oil to a pan over medium heat.

Once hot, add in ground meat and chop up into smaller pieces.

1 lb ground chicken or beef

Add in the onion.

Cook until chicken in cooked through and onion is translucent.

Pour in sauce and turn heat to medium-low. Simmer until the sauce sticks to the chicken.

When the meat is almost done cooking, add broccolini to pot of water and cook for 3-4 minutes. Strain, add to a bowl, and mix in butter and salt and pepper, to taste.

Assemble bowl with rice, chicken, and broccolini.

Garnish with red pepper flakes, sesame seeds, and scallions.
