1 oz tomato sauce

3 ½ cups of water

⅓ cup culantro or cilantro, chopped
Directions

For the Instructions for chicken

Cut chicken breast into cubes and add into a mixing bowl. Add chopped garlic, sazon, salt, black pepper, mix well and marinate for 30 minutes.

Sear chicken for 6 to 10 minutes on medium-high heat. Make space in the center of the pot.

For the Instructions for rice

Set heat to medium and add sofrito, tomato sauce, pimiento, olives, culantro, stir well, yet quickly, then add your washed rice and mix until rice has a nice color.

Add water and seasonings listed under rice ingredients and stir well. Taste and adjust if needed.

With heat on medium, bring to a boil, half-way stir a bit to ensure rice cooks well. Once the water has mostly evaporated, stir well and cover on low (setting 3) for 20-25 minutes or until rice is fully cooked.

Turn heat off, uncover and stir. Cover again for 5 minutes before serving.
