Directions

Wash and dice the sweet potato. Peeling is optional.

Rinse the red lentils thoroughly.

Chop the yellow onion into chunks or strips or whatever.

Add all ingredients to the rice cooker: sweet potato, red lentils, onion, turmeric, cumin, curry powder, vegan butter or oil, water, salt, sugar, and vinegar.

Stir the mixture to combine all ingredients evenly.

Set the rice cooker to the 'cook' setting and let it run until the lentils and sweet potato are tender.

Once cooked, stir the dahl and serve.
